Currently, I only represent indigent clients assigned by the Missouri State Public Defender's Office. If you've received notice that I am your new attorney, please give me a call. Thank you!
First Tip: Don't talk with the police or a police investigator without your attorney present. Doing so may hurt your defense.
During nine months as an assistant public defender in the State of Missouri, I represented several hundred defendants in cases ranging from criminal nonsupport and probation violations to possession and intent to deliver a controlled substance and aggravated assault. I represented one defendant at trial through a jury verdict in which he was acquitted. Every case is different and the facts of your case, your ability to participate effectively in your defense, and the efforts of your attorney all are important in determining the outcome of your case. I have also represented several juveniles accused of crimes.
Second Tip: If you are a loved one or parent of someone accused of a crime, the attorney hired can explain the legal process, listen to your concerns, and answer basic questions, but, if hired, the attorney will represent the accused, not the family member. Duties of confidentiality to a Client may prevent the attorney from sharing certain case information with a loved one or parent, without a Client's consent.
When faced with criminal charges, you need someone on your side. I'll help you understand the charges against you, work with you to prepare a strong defense, and stay with you through your trial, entry of a plea, or the dismissal of the charges against you.
Disclaimer: The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. The information contained on this website is not an offer to provide legal services, but an announcement and an invitation to learn more about the services I provide by contacting me by phone or email. An attorney-client relationship is not formed until confirmed by me in writing, normally after a fee agreement is signed and a deposit received. Do not send confidential information. I may be representing another party in your matter and your confidentiality is not protected until an attorney-client relationship is formed.
